Mother Mary’s, Manchester’s newest Irish Bar, has announced plans for a ‘Sports Season Card’ - the first of its kind in the city center.

The card, which is priced at £10 per season, aims to bring people together through sports and position Mother Mary’s as a firm favorite to watch live sport in the city.

The card will unlock a host of benefits, including heavy discounts and drink deals for cardholders such as Pints, doubles, member specific cocktails plus priority table bookings, discounts with local partners, meetups, member specific events, days out and a say in the Mother Mary’s sports schedule and what games are shown when.

As an independent venue, the money generated from the card is being used to improve the venue's  already incredible matrix system that enables the space to host up to 7 different games at any one time. The sports schedule throughout the year includes, but is not limited to, the Premier League, Football League, Scottish Premiership, Gaelic Hurling and Football, Rugby Union, League and International, Women’s Super League, F1, International Cricket, NFL, NBA, and NHL, as well as premium live events from the WWE, UFC, and Boxing. All shown on the already popular massive 100 inch screens. 

The venue wants to bring sports fans together in a foundation or club-style setting, enabling people to get to know one another, enjoy moments together, and build new friendships, whilst also taking on board feedback from their clientele to make the experience even better.

Greg Dwyer, owner of Mother Mary’s, said: “We want to bring a community of sports fans together with the launch of our new Season Pass. We hope by listening to suggestions,  holding meetings, and putting into practice constructive ideas that this will improve the fan experience in Mother Mary’s, since opening we've already had a ton of suggestions on how we can improve so why not focus on that with a core group of individuals in a bid to get those things done? We are incredibly serious about sport and committed to listening to our customers. When producing our schedule at the beginning, it was so vast that we could’ve gone wrong quickly, so the idea came of wanting our customers to move with us as we evolve as a space.

This is an extraordinarily expensive exercise, and there is a reason why other venues haven't risked so much in a bid to show so many different sports. These members will be the foundation of what will allow us to be a standout option for sports fans, so we do hope that they appreciate the move isn’t one aimed at capitalizing on people who want to watch sports; it’s aimed at improving the venue, its infrastructure, and for those fan’s that join this new club, they can really have a say in everything we do going forward.
